HIRETH (a Cornish word meaning ‘a longing for home’) tells the story of Cornwall’s forgotten war heroes who swap the dirty, dark and dangerous mining tunnels of Geevor for the deadly underground warzone beneath the Western front in 1914.
The production was staged in the Miners Chapel in St Just, just a couple of miles from Geevor Tin Min, stirring up a hugely emotional and supportive response from the community. The film manages to capture both the passion of the cast and crew as well as the positive reaction of audiences. Screening TBA in 2019.
