In our debut issue we present work from four of Nicholas Kristiansen's projects; Adventure, Graphic City, Diversity, and Graduate Fashion Week. He cites Nick Knight, Michal Pudelka, and Viviane Sassen as major influences and despite being only twenty years old, his clients already include Hunger Magazine, Kaltblut Magazine, Toksick Magazine, XXY Magazine & Fashion Scout, to name a few.
Our second issue features ‘Growing Roots in Unknown Spaces’, a brave and intimate series by artist Pippa Jones. Jones investigates the relationship between humans and nature by using self-portraiture to investigate her own environment. ‘I decided to bring nature back into the manmade world and to figure out my connection to the landscape and what it is’.
In our third issue we introduce ‘Habana I’, a series produced by Edward Black. Cuba is a country Black had been interested in visiting for some time, wishing to experience its political abnormalities and resultant visual eccentricities first-hand; ‘I really wanted to see for myself what was left of the Communist political system and how it worked in the country.’
